Ok, I added my Dragon decal today! I elected to take off my quasi-infamous Oakely "O" and replace it with a more passionate and less commercial Dragon oval decal, symetrical pair, of course

Cheers,
Ryan

Man!!! Ryan, your Dragon looks awesome!!!! Do they both face forwards, or does one face front and one face back? Just wondering as I believe KooMini or Cindy told me they were available in both directions. Mine, being the one not in a circle, and facing the wrong way, is starting to peel after one wash! If I'm not careful I'll lose it !

MiniMac, the Dragon is a sticker/decal many of us purchased after slaying the Dragon, aka driving the Tail of The Dragon (US Rt. 129, http://www.tailofthedragon.com ) at our Deals Gap Rally this month! There are quite a few threads pertaining to this scattered around this and other sites!

Speaking of the Dragon, repairs are underway!!!!!

>>I am not a fan of the advertising stuff either...isn't that considered a "RICE" thing that everyone is so against...

CooperSpeed and 6f7, in a way, putting on badges and decals that are not necessarily associated with the car may seem like what the ricers do, but our car has a heritage, it's not like anyone is putting a huge "Type R" sticker on the back of their MINI!!!!

(If you have a Type R decal, pleeeeeeeaaaase post a pic of it!!!  :smile

I though all those dragon stickers was some kind of reference to pot or something kinda like puff the magic dragon.

Putting company stickers isn't "rice". Theres lots of nice cars out there with company stickers and they look really nice. So are all the rally, touring and nascar cars "rice" also? If you put stickers on your car of companies and you don't even have anything from that company thats "rice".

The Dragon decals are available at the deal's Gap motorcycle resort/gas station where everyone tends to meet, gas up, and buy dragon stickers to commemorate a weekend of dragon slaying on US 129, known as the Tail of the Dragon: 11 miles with 318 curves.

>>miniblue, love the classic badges (magnets?). where did you find them?
>>

Got them at the kit car show at Knottsberry Farm parking lot. I'm also a fan of AC Cobra and AC Cobra replicas. You can find suppliers at FFCOBRA

Thanks for the compliment.

For those who don't like or critique advertizing for other who they have no affiliation,....please tell me you take off every logo off everything you buy. Then I can understand.

Cheers

Next up, Ford Mustang kill stickers!!!! Please tell me somebody knows where to get them!!!!

Also discussed were windshield kill stickers, for the number of windshields gone through, as well as runflat kill stickers. These are apparently necessary for a number of folks here!!!!

Mustang kill sticker? I don't think a Mini would kill a mustang, maybe an older one or one of the slow v6 ones. But a Mini would definatly kill a tang in a turn or in the corners.

I've not gone head to head with a Mustang GT or Cobra, but I've killed a a few V6s and the base models right off the line. Heck, even my old Miata beat the V6!!! My ancient '89 Accord I learned to drive in was beating base model Mustangs too!

A GT would almost certainly beat a stock MCS, until any curves are invoved!!!

Yeah the v6 tangs are slow! I beat one in a 2000 accord, go vtec! You smoked a GT cooperspeed? was it an older one? If it was a new gt it would have handled your *** to you. I see a newer gt mustang with flowmasters and who knows what under the hood around my town and it kills anything that races it.

MINI has a heritage of self expression and stickers are part of that. I like stickers as a way to distinquish your car and build character. I also have a sticker in my back window.

My only question/comment was: why advertise brand logos? I shop at target, wear hanes tshirts, brush my teeth with crest--yet I do not endorse these brands by putting them on my car. I just wondered how people identify with these logos enough to brand yourself and your car--saying to the world "I buy crest toothpaste!"

People are so against the MINI turning into the next PT wrapped in branding, yet we do it ourselves with no reimbursement.

Just my 2 cents.

PS> After seeing all the dragon stickers, I may have to add that to my 4k road trip next month.

Yucca,

Where did you get the sunroof Union Jack Emblem? Is it good quality? Do you recommend it? Any drawbacks?
