Getting out of MINI retail lease

Sorry if this isn't the right forum.

I'm selling my 06 MINI and was wondering and have been asked
if I can transfer the lease. I didn't see anything in my contract.
Has anyone done/know anything on this.

Thanks to all for any help.

Yes you can (assuming you have a BMW Financial lease), 3 things need to be ineffect:
1. You need to br current on your payments
2. The lease assumer needs to make application to BMW Financial. The fee was $450 when I did it
3. The lease assumer needs to be aprroved by BMW Financial.

After that it is pretty painless with the Fedexing of paperwork, mine took like a week. BMW Financial people are pretty efficient. One note you can schedule an appointment through BMW Financial to have their Lease person at a dealership evaluate the car for pre-existing damage. My evaluation found scrapes on the bumper that would have cost me $250 when I turned in the car at the end of the lease (not that I plan too), so the original leasor gave me the $250. Michael
