Glad to hear they are not nesting in your car. Where is Pacific, Mo? Someones never seen a skink? And yes thats definitely a Rat snake, Awww.

I don't think we have any skinks out here in CA. Alligator Lizards, are nasty little *****'s. And the California King Snake is great! Mouse killing machine, and will also kill and eat rattlesnakes. Makes a good pet too.

Don't think there are any skinks around here either. We do have many kinds of snakes, unfortunately the mice are dancing on their cold hibernating bodies.

My vote for #1 defense against the rodents is Yorkies!! My Abby LOVES to hunt them down and (ahem) dispose of them. She's smaller than most cats but can do the job!
