okay don't mean to sound stupid but what is R50 and R53 I take it the R56 is the new model but are all years from 02-06 R50?

it's Rt50 down Oxford and Rt53. kinda like Rt66 from chicago to LA.



R50 = MC
R53 = MCS

I will got my '06 and will probably purchase again around the 3rd Gen (skipping 2nd gen). Good bye R53.

How many new unsold MINI's are left out there? Probably no way to tell really.

The R56 is just part of the BMW plan for the car. The R50/53 were very special/different cars from the other cars in the BMW line up and thats what I liked about it. They were able to improve on the car while really using some styling cues from the original. The more BMW changes it the more it moves away from its roots. I will probably drive my MCS for awhile and then put it up in the wherehouse for my daughter to experience.
