Along with a small tool kit, Fix-a-Flat, 12V compressor and pressure gauge, running on standard tires I never go anywhere over 100 miles without a run flat spare.
Now that I've got another Jeep, I need to put together a small, permanent kit to keep with me. I should really do the same for the MINI, too. I keep a small disembodied air compressor and Stop & Go tire plugger kit in one of the cubby holes in the boot, since I run non-runflats. I bought the tire plugger kit for my motorcycle and have actually used it on two different car tires. If you're really ****, it's only good to get you to a tire shop for a more permanent fix.
The surprise was that jumper cables are of little use to rescue a MINI. A dead MINI battery is nearly 'unjumpable.'
