I have no problems with the runflats....I think I will probably try something else if I ever wear them out. I haven't replaced tires on a car in over 10 years, never keep them long enough.....there is a good chance that I keep this car longer.

 

I am definitely in the "fan of the run-flats" camp. I'll keep my stiff sidewall "instantaneous darty response" thankyouverymuch.

I have the standard Goodyear 16" RFs. They have 15k miles on them, look brand new, handle and hold the road great wet or dry, and are not harsh. I'll worry about replacement cost when the time comes.

 

Interesting thread...I've been going bcack and forth on what tire to put on my JCW for this winter. I've got a set of R94 Bridge Spokes coming, and I've been thinking about Dunlop Winter Sports (195/55/16), and they're available both ways. I'd save about $160 on the non run flats, but the peace of mind and the turn in are probably worth it...
