Performance Advice

Hi fellow Motorers :

I know this should be posted on other forum but since one question is about suspension and the other about engine, I decided to posted here. I need some advice in regards about experince with any of the following products:

1. JCW Strut Brace
2. JCW Air Box

I got a quote for these parts at Classic Mini. (Strut $256 and Air Box $428 plus shipping). I know that there are other aftermarket parts cheaper but for some reason I prefer JCW (warranty maybe). My question is: what is your experience with this parts. Are they easy to install ? Does the ECU needs re-mapping with the air box? Do you think I can get a better price for this parts somewhere else (My MINI dealer is too expensive)?

Thanks for your help

Well from experience, I would email Morristown mini for a price quote on these parts, I do know the strut brace is around 215.00. I do not believe you will need to have your ecu reprogramed for the CAI. Hope that helps.

I have the JCW intake and I love it. I got it from Outmotoring for cheaper than what your dealer quoted. No computer reprogram needed.

$428 for the air box!!

Just get a Alta CAI and dont worry about warranty because you should have no problem with it at all.
