I almost got the liquid yellow with black top. It looked really nice on the MiniUSA website. When I saw what it really looked like, I changed my mind. It's just too subdued. It's not near as vibrant as the pictures suggest. I opted out for the black with white top. I really liked the velvet red, but it wasn't an option on the S model.

It seems that DKS/BLK (which is what my car is).....um....RULES!

I'm thinking of getting the grey tone Union Jack(from Cooper Flags) for the roof, since it'd work on black. Whuddya think? Too busy? I already have bonnet stripes....

Talking to the dealer in Denver, seems that DS and BRG are the most popular colors sold here, although I have seen more CR and DS than anything on the streets, so I don't know where all those BRGs are.

Katie - I think the grey tone UJ would look awesome on your car. I've seen a picture somewhere of one installed on a car - and it looks great

>>I saw a Gold/Black today at the dealer and all I have to say is that's one butt ugly color.

I couldn't agree with you more, Nobull60.

Why Gold? Why not keep the Silk Green. Now there's a cool color on the MINI!

Another Pepper White/Black roof Cooper CVT Here.

The Pepper White is an awesome color and fortunately, not very popular among the MINI aficionados. Also Velvet Red is a pretty rare color. Rest assured that those of us with Pepper White, Velvet Red and Silk Green MINI's will enjoy the privielege of being among the very few with these potentially collector's colors.

Pepper White and Velvet Red are not being discontinued. If someone claims to the contrary, that is pure B.S. In fact, MINI will begin to offer (at long last) Pepper White in the MCS for 2004.

Here in Miami (The official MINI Mecca of the USA) I see at least 10 to 20 MINIs day in and day out in every color combination imaginable!

I have not yet seen the MC in Gold. I don't think it is an ugly color, but I don't see how this choice can be justified in replacing the Silk Green metallic.

I have had my share of Gold and Sandrifted colored cars, so I don't see a Gold MINI in my future.

Originally, I went in to order a BRG/Blk MCS, there was a BRG MC on the lot and the color just wasn't what I thought it would be, too flat for a metallic. Also there was an IB/W MC on the lot with the appropriate visual appeal. So in about five minutes my order whent from BRG to IB for my MCS. Haven't looked back yet. It was the right choice for me.

Beauty, as they say, is in the eye of the beholder. Or, there ain't no accountin' fer taste.

Here in the Baltimore area, I've seen a greater number of Chili Red MINIs with red, black and white roofs. Next in line is Yellow/Black and Yellow/White. Also noted are a DS/B and a PS/PS, Black/White, BRG/Black, BRG/White. I haven't seen any other Indi Blue/White MINIs besides mine.

Wonder if the dealers keep stats on this kind of thing??

I have to agree. Green is my favorite color, but the metallic BRG on the Mini is really dark. It looks like navy blue in low light, especially on the side panels.

Now I'm choosing between Indi Blue or Black (non-metallic). If this business about Pepper White being an option on the '04 MCS is true, it's going to get more complicated! :???:

Is that burnt orange the color of the Cabrio spy photo that's been in so many magazines?

It's a 3/4 shot from behind with the top down. The car looks reddish orange.

(I just looked for the pic on the web, but I can't find it!

Frankly, I chose VR/W for my MC because you see red and blue and silver EVERYWHERE. I wanted my MINI to be unique; then again, a MINI in primer gray would be unique.

VR is catching on in Hawaii....but not popular as CR.
MINIhune's VR/VR cousins...

Not many IB/W that I've seen in my area either...but I know they're out there somewhere. All told, EB/W is my all-time favorite color combo, but it wasn't available for my Cooper. Also, really looking forward to the convertible colors...pity if they're just for that model but that strategy would be consistent and understandable I suppose. I have definite color preferences, but whenever I see other MINIs in person (...like at local meets and such) I'm just totally gaga over them all. Even gold, perhaps??
