Hi all! I went to the dealership and laid down my deposit on Saturday, and they just faxed over the Vehicle Inquiry with the production number. I’m pretty psyched. It’s gonna be a long 3 months!

Anyway… I have 2 questions:

1) Under the options on the form it lists: 03671 15” Alloy Wheels

Now, I ordered the 15” Alloy 8 Spoke Wheels in Silver. The above summary doesn’t specify the style or the color. My question is this:

How can I look up the 03671 Option Code to verify that I will end up with the correct wheels/color?

2) Can I now use the production number to check the status of my Mini on Miniusa.com? Where do I input the information to track it?

Keep ASKMINI handy, 1-866-ASK-MINI, they can tell you up-to-date production status, as well as confirm your order.

MINIUSA.com and the Owners Lounge is something you'll have to sign up for after you get your Production number, and gives you access to the Unauthorized Owners Manual and the [actual] Owners Manual. Be careful of the O.L. initially, it will not have your correct MINI configuration!

Wallenius Wilhelmsen is the shipping company MINI uses, you use the last 7 characters of your VIN to track your MINI on their ships. Tracking page

I registered on the Owner’s Lounge and checked out the tracking info. As you said, the configuration they have for my Mini is wrong, but that seems to be how it works! When should I expect it to have the correct, updated information? Is there anywhere I can find my expected build date, or is it too soon?

I did call 1-800-ASK-MINI and the rep confirmed that the wheels are correct. But, He really didn’t even seem aware that there are 2 different sets of standard wheels available (or 2 colors), so I’m not sure I feel much better about his answer!
