Any thoughts on the optional gauge package in the lower center console? I'm considering getting it added on as an optiion when my S arrives. Are either of the gauges redundant with the ProMini gauges that surround the tach?

They're fine, but the background color doesn't match the other instruments. It looks like an add-on.

I don't agree. The gauges are black with orange backlighting. IMHO they match everything else in the center console stack. They look like they belong. No, they don't match the speedo and tach, but they fall right in line with the radio and ACC. I think the prices are a little high. I bought the gauge mount for twenty three bucks from MINI,and am am going to buy the gauges seperately.

Correct, I have the gauge option and they match perfectly

BMPDesign/ProMini has a 2nd guage cluster besides the one around the Tach. It is where the optional dealer fitted ones go but are flush with the stereo/toggles/climate control...my opinion they look much better....I'll look to see if i can find the picture....but if your around texas and going to be at the get together at BMPDesign on Saturday you can see them there on BlueThunder.

I have played around on MiniUSA.com and I have not seent he optional gauges. Does anybody have any pictures of them? For the MCS are they Oil Pressure and Boost?

I was probably going to get the BMP ones, but if they dealer ones look okay I might go with theirs.

The guage package is not an option. It is an aftermarket option. I think I am going to get it. I have seen it on a MCS before, and it looked sweet, and I fell in love.
