The chrome grill and classy look of the front-end & hood without a "mail slot" were big selling points for me! Sure, the S is faster but there is a lot you can do to improve the performance of the regular MC if you want to.

Don't let the improved performance of the S (supercharger) be the deciding factor... There will be sooo many after-market mods available in the next few months, you will wish you got the MC color & styling you liked best. Intakes, Exhaust, Chips, etc. and you can bet there will be an aftermarket supercharger (Neuspeed probably) and turbochargers available sometime next year too. And even MINI will probably be selling a "sport" Chip in the next 6 months (SuperChips already has one out, but they will probably have a gen2 version before too long).

I wouldn't trade my MC for an MCS !

 

Another thing to concider is FUEL ECONOMY. If that matters to you, I haven't goyyen over 24 mpg. with my S.

Yuck! I hate chrome. My bicycle when I was 10 had lots of chrome...I loved it then.

So true that is... it took me a while to get accustomed to the body colored grille (and i think it's funny how it's considered a 'feature')... But it's really just a matter of getting around the fact that we would expect a grille like that to be an off color, either a chrome or black or something like that... that's probally one of the big selling points in getting a silver mini... but I've started to like the grille color... having a picture of my MINI to be hanging up 3 inches from my face at work kinda helps... :smile:

and too, I just also keep thinking about tearing up the roads when I get it... that helps too...
