R50/53 Has your MINI made you a better person?
I do think twice about cursing other drivers in the MINI, since most people smile at the car (as the MINI ad said, "let's put away the middle finger...let's motor!). I agree with other posts about being involved on NAM and other MINI related functions...it produces a real sense of community, which I would argue makes us better people.
I think my MINI has made me more patient on the road. I'm no longer in as much of a rush to get to my destination because I love driving my MINI. So as a result, I've become more calm on the road. I mean, how could a driver of a car that brings so many smiles possibly be a big jerk on the road? I'll reserve that one for the modded Neons and overly compensating and agressive Monster-Trucks/SUVS.
I never talked to my car until I got a MINI.
"Good boy, Simon!"
I never onomatapeoized a car before, i.e. Tires are shoes; Gasoline is food; my SA is Simon's doctor; etc...etc....
