R50/53 How big was your gap?

It will not be missed.
I certainly respect someone with the guts to tow in their trade-in.
I mainly bought my MCS because I wanted a fun car that would save me some cash on outflow(payments and insurance)every month. Before I ordered mine I had two Hondas simultaneously, a 2002 Si hatch and a 2000 CX hatch. The '02 Si had only drop springs and was fun, but weak(no guts), and the '00 CX was kinda my toy; a few bolt-ons, cat-removed, moderate supsension and r-comps on the street. Just simple fun. That car only weighed 2300 lbs with full interior! I've decided I wanted something similar again, so my winter project is a '92 Civic CX with an Si drivetrain and suspension and brakes, a full repaint and a few well-thought mods, possibly a turbo. Target is again 2200-2300 lbs.
I have had an extensive collection, though...(in no particular order)
1986 Dodge Aries wagon-gold
1988 Yugo GV
1975 Pontiac Grandville Brougham(it was as big as it sounds!
)
1977 Olds Cutlass coupe
1979 Chevy Malibu wagon
1983 Chevy S-10 Blazer 4x4
1971 Beetle
1992 Nissan 240 SX
1988 Honda Civic hatch
1988 Honda CRX DX
1988 Honda CRX Si
1989 Honda CRX Si
1990 Honda Civic Si hatch
1992 Eagle Talon(no turbo)
2002 Honda Civic Si hatch
2000 Honda Civic CX hatch
1992 Honda Civic CX hatch (current project car)
2005 MINI Cooper S (current driver-28,500 miles in 16 months!)
2006 Honda CBR-600F4i (current speed fix)
By the way, these are the cars I've had since I was 15; I just turned 26 a couple weeks ago. I don't have loaded parents; I've only gotten help on the first couple of beaters, which didn't amount to more than few hundred bucks. I've learned to work my rear off and upgrade until you get what you want.

The gap was pretty large let's see, the windshield leaked, if you locked the driver door while inside you needed to reach out the window and use the key to unlock it from the outside, leaked oil, went through about 1 gallon of antifreeze every few weeks. The choke didn't work so you had to use both feet to drive (automatic) one to brake and the other to keep the revs up so it wouldn't stall until it got warmed up. Oh and the brakes stopped working on two occasions, pedal on the floor. And it really only did a good job going in a straight line.
The ONLY thing I miss is the sound of that motor when you fired it up in the morning or stood on the gas pedal.
I had 700 miles on my MCS and didn't even think twice about running from Anaheim up to Reno for a few days.
