Roof rack for a mini

Does anyone know of any good deals for a roof ski rack to fit a mini? I'm also debating if I need one at all, my skis might fit in the back with the seats folded down. I haven't tried yet, just got new skis and they are in the shop having the bindings mounted. Does anyone have any experience with what size ski can fit in the back? Also, are snow tires a must have? I've always driven the mountain roads with all season tires and never had a problem. Does it make a difference because the mini is so light? It may seem early to be asking "winter questions", I guess buying new skis tonight has me thinking ahead....can't wait for the snow!!

I just looked at the site. The rack looks great but I won't drill into my mini. I'm only looking for a ski rack, no need for a multi use rack, I don't bike just ski!

180 cm skis fit in, but angle into the left side of the passenger seat - I have only tried one pair at a time. Longer skis would definitely cross into the passenger seat. Also unless you are meticulous getting the snow off when you finish skiing, you will have plenty of melted snow inside the MINI.

Get the snow tires! I'm running 16" Pirelli Snowsport runflats, and most of the other "snow tire" threads on NAM would also recommend the snows for mountain driving.
