You're right, black is beautiful...just very hard to keep clean. My first new car was a black with black interior 64 Corvair Spyder, 150 turbo-charged HP and just a little quicker than an MCS. Great fun then, just as my MC is today.

I think there should be lots of color choices too, I'm just surprised that so many people choose the same silver, gray, tan, beige, and other sort of un-exciting colors, especially on a MINI.

Sometimes they choose un-exciting colors, but end up with very exciting results.

Well I would rather have Liquid Yellow than Mellow Yellow. Might as well have Mountain Dew Green too.

I like the high visibility of my LY MCC, especially when I share the road with so many large SUVs and Hummers every day. But that light green is really nice. Just saw one today at the dealership for the first time.

Me too! I've said it before and I'll say it again (with the hope that someone at MINI reads this stuff)

MINI should make a partnership with Crayola and offer the entire color spectrum found in the 64 box of crayons. Let me have a red MINI with a yellow roof if that is what I want!

Nice colormatch on SG MC Fireballed Brian!
They are wrong. I know of at least one that had a black roof and a five speed. It was pictured early in the thread, and was called DaMINI at the time. DaMINI also had SS+ which was rare in 2002-2003. I ordered the car in spring 02 and took delivery in Sep 02. A very fun car. I still miss it.

Silk Green was nice...I get a thrill whenever I see one (because I have no life). btw, any fans of Silk Green may be interested in Oxygen Blue (Cooper only) when and if we ever get to see it!!! (reportedly a Teal-ish )

I think in Italy they would call it "Bianchi green"

I remember seeing one Silk Green with the green factory interior a few years ago.
I had a silk green/white Cooper with the emerald leather interior:

Love the color combo, prettiest body color and interior in the MINI line. My new MCSC is nice but the old one was prettier.
