I'm ordering a Mini, white, black roof and mirrors. Order went in yesterday. I was told there are two new options: (1) Black inserts on the bumpers (as opposed to the chrome insert option); and (2) Sport steering wheel. Has anyone seen these options, know where I can view them? Also . . . I'd appreciate opinions re: the black inserts on the bumpers with the white body and black roof/mirrors. Could be very sharp . . .but then again, there's already chrome on the front grill. So . . my choices are: (1) no option on this - just the standard total white bumpers; (2) Chrome bumper insert option; (3) Black bumper insert option. Again, the Mini I ordered is white with black roof/mirrors. All help on steering wheel and bumper option is appreciated! Peter

These options have been integrated in the MINIUSA website for some time in the "Build Your Own" section; enjoy!

Nope, I cannot enter the MiniUSA site . . something about a "runtime error." I guess some virus detection software pops this up. In any event, I cannot get in! Easy for me to go to vehicle tracking though. Pls. forward any pics you have. Thanks. Peter

IMHO, MINIs *need* chrome!
Which is why I replaced the body color grille on my MCS.
So I would vote for chrome bumper inserts.

I think the "sports" steering wheel is the one that is standard on the MCS; it has a textured feel, better than the standard wheel, with bumps that I think are supposed to make your thumbs more comfy.
Can't help you decide that - go and compare Cooper and Cooper S in the dealership.

Have you considered the MFSW? Don't know if it comes in a sport model, but it sure is a killer convenience. I'd take it over a sport wheel, unless the sport wheel comes w/ the multi-function option. Re: bumpers- my dealer put chrome inserts on my PS/B MC, since I forgot to order them, and badly wanted them on the car. I would imagine they could have done the same w/ black insert. You could get the car w/ body colored bumpers, see how you like it, and then have the inserts of your choice added later. I might even change to black eventually, to go w/ my black smile. I put the aero top and bottom grill on a standard MC front end. I love chrome, but I also really like the look of a black smile picking up the rest of the black of the roof and the body surround. Makes MINI look a bit more businesslike:
