Just bought a 2003 MINI on Monday and the driver seat was ok until I tried to adjust it. When I adjusted the seat it would only stay in one position - all the way back! The handle on the side to adjust the seat is not at the same position as the passenger seat so I'm thinking it needs to be pulled back inline or something... I bought an extended warranty that covers everything, but I don't want to take it to the dealer (long drive). Any of you had problems with this? Any general knowledge of how the seat reclining thingy works would be helpful as well!

I did pop the back of the seat off and the rod that connects the two handles on either side is twisted more toward the front of the car than the other seat.
