We carded a mini the other day, and wouldn't you know it, they carded us back with our own card. We were very sad.

Well I am fairly friendly (sorta-kinda mosta the time ) but something about being in or near my Mini just puts me in a better mood

In 4 years of motoring, I have found the great majority of MINI owners to be extremely pleasant people. However, I have had my share of jerk MINI drivers as well.

Looking at the big picture, there are vast amount of MINI owners that either do not care or are turned off by the "Cult/social" aspect of the car. They do recognize and like the car for what it is, but they are simply not interested in bonding with other owners.

And then again you have those MINI owners that have no idea what the car is all about and neither the cult following but simply like it for the "cuteness" and the trendy looks. When that wears off, they are ready to move to the next "cool" thing on wheels.

For some reason, I have found convertible owners to be the least friendly of the bunch.

I find that my mini makes me friends. I thought (being a teenaged guy) that if anything I'd get made fun of for it. But people love this car. At traffic lights if my windows are down people will just yell out nice car and whatnot. Must admit it certainly is a good way to achieve some human contact for the socially-crippled geeks.

Kind of difficult to not be freindly when children across the fence say with delight "MINI Cooper" after you park.

Well like everything else there will always be someone to rattle the package.
I believe if you don't want the attention, then don't drive one. It's like looking at a kitten or puppy. You have to go "AH, how cute, when you see a Mini. An I am a very friendly, happy, fun loving, soon to be Cabrio driver. But I do see what you mean. Come on Trinidad pick-up your speed, I want
my MINI NOW!!!

I know the feeling! I will be "Motoring" and see a MINI and of course I am waving and smiling the whole time. They just look at me with this are you stupid look.

I have even been at the store and saw this little kid say," Look mom! Slugbug!" The mom actually said," No son that is a MINI Cooper!" So there are some people that actually know what they are that dont even drive one. But, you know they wish they did!

Kids love MINIs. Maybe it's because it's "more their size" or because it looks like a big toy.

God forbid that pedophiles ever discover MINIS.

Ever since the MINI came out I get excited when I see one. Me and my friends always shout out "MINI!" whenever we see a MINI. When I've seen someone in a parking lot with a MINI I've always nodded or smiled or said, "Nice car." or something like that and oddly enough probably 75% of them have looked at me like I was nuts. Maybe it's because I wasn't in a MINI.

I have a Harley F-150 and I ALWAYS get a nod or thumbs up or "Nice truck." from every biker I see. I always smile or say thank you or something because I think that's just common courtesy. It doesn't matter that I only bought the truck because of the supercharger, the nice seats and the center consoles and couldn't care less that it has Harley badges everywhere... Heh.
