I have two weeks before our first test/tune day and drivers school with the Reno region autocross group. I am really curious how my MCS will perform compared to my 914 which ran well with the miatas. Does anybody have some track data from your experiences on how you compared with other cars. Also I am looking for tech tips for setting up the car.
All Red MCS chomping at the bit.

I am in noway an expert but we did a large Auto-X in St.Pete a few weeks ago which was held by the local Miata club. MINI's and Mini's were invited and let me tell you both types of Mini's recoreded the best times. Out of the New MINI"s vs. Miata's the new MINI's won all classes. All the MINI's were stock with the exception of a few with track tires and exhaust/intakes. Compaired to some Miata's that were setup with all the track goodies. I for one was a first timer and had stock Pirelli run flats on and in my opinion kicked some butt on the track. Started out with a 5o.896 second and the last run was a 47.086 second run. Only 3 seconds from the fastest recorded time. Which was by a New MINI with track tires. The Miatas did well but the MINI's did the best. Even most of the classic Mini's did better than allot of the Miatas. It was a great day. Look for some pictures at MINI vs. Miata
