I went to Carmax a couple weeks ago to have my 2003 MINI Cooper appraised (no "S"). While I was waiting, I ran into a couple looking @ several MINIs on the lot. Actually, *he* was looking at MINIs, she was looking at Saturns. lol (Boy do they love to mark up the MINIs! That is it's own story!)

After some chit-chat about how cool/fast/economic/roomy MINIs are, I mentioned I was selling mine. We negotiated a deal that was a "win-win" situation: He got an immaculate MINI w/ complete service records and provenance- at a lot less than any of those on the lot; I got a lot more than Carmax offered me.

Point being, perhaps "hovering" in the Carmax lot is a good sales technique! But you didn't hear it from me!

(I hope there are no Carmax execs on this board!)
