R50/53 WhiteRoofRadio and iTunes problem - just me?
WhiteRoofRadio and iTunes problem - just me?
Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this problem, and if there is a known solution...I have been feverishly trying to download WRR podcasts from iTunes to no avail. I get about 1-6 minutes downloaded, then it stalls/stops. If I try to clear that and try again, it usually downloads for even less than the first time.
I have the latest version of iTunes installed, and yes - I do have a dinosaur dial-up modem, but I can download other podcasts just fine - as a matter of fact, an NPR podcast is successfully downloading (in it's entirety) as I type this...
I even tried downloading Lemon (formerly iPodder) - again, only the first few minutes downloaded of each podcast. I recall that there was an error message in the log about the RSS feed, but I don't remember what it was. I have since uninstalled the program, thinking that perhaps it was interefereing somehow with iTunes, but that has made no difference whatsoever.
I have only TWO successfully (as in fully downloaded) podcasts to listen to, and I have no idea wy they did, but they were downloaded a while ago. I would love to listen to the others, as I have a long commute and it would be fantastic to listen to them all.
I really believe it is something in the WRR RSS feed that is amiss, since I can download everything else- other podcasts, MP3 files, etc. with no problem.
While "Journey to the Edge of the Amazon" sounds interesting, I'd really rather listen to Randy Webb's interviews!! :impatient
Arrggghh!! Help, anyone??

I tried to download it from the WRR site, but after the long download, I got a message saying that the file wasn't recognized (to open).
Anyone with similar probelm? I have AOL - maybe that is part of the problem?

Hey Gang,
I'm sorry I didn't see this earlier.
Anyway....I'll start by referring you to this post on Whiteroofradio.com that describes what happened.
What that means to you is that there might still be some missing episodes, which is why you are getting errors from feedburner.
Also, you might want to make sure you are using the correct feed. The best way to do this, of course, is to subscribe through iTunes. If that's not an option for you, the feed is http://feeds.feedburner.com/Whiteroofradiocom . That one you can use in any podcatcher or RSS reader to get the shows.
If you do come across a show that is missing, please let us know! The best way to do that is via the contact page at WRR.
Meanwhile, we are still working as quick as we can to get everything back up and running 100%! Thanks for your patience.
