Thought I'd share another great MINI Experience.

Picked up MINIhune last week and on the following day, went to see my insurance agent. Since I cancelled my insurance on the Honda (sold it to buy MINI) over a month ago, I rushed over to maintain my "good driver" discount.

Anyways, to our surprise, the premiums were 20% lower than quoted a month ago Their reasoning.....the latest crash and safety test proved the MINI to be much better than last predicted ( no current crash data base at the time).

Not only did I get to retain my "good driver" discount, but an additional 20% off the monthly premiums. So, it turned out that the insurance for the new MINI was actually cheaper than my 3 year old Honda I'm talkin' the same full coverage as the Honda, less the roadside assistance.

MINIhune keeps making me smile  ..and smile Hang Loose!!!

Sorry nfo; you live in Cook County. I have found insurance (any - car, renters, etc.) to be about double here compared to what I've paid anywhere else I've lived. I've even thought about registering the cars at my inlaw's address in the burbs (lake county) to save big. Best of luck getting the reduction.

I've got our insurance ready to switch over to the MINI, it went up $50 a year.
This is with American Family.

I did the online Geico quote and it was about $500 more a year than what I'm paying now.

I'm still shopping however....
