Oh, now I get it...I can either put "S" badges on my Cooper or paint it to look like a WRX and THEN I'll have 50 extra HP!

My buddy does have a Cosworth motor in his garage...awaiting install however. I do have pics to share. One of only a handful of fully built longblocks Cosworth made for Subaru's - they found it to be cost prohibitive to do the full motor, so switched focus to the heads alone. This thing is good for 800hp+ at the crank and will spin to 10,500 rpm safely. All in a nice, tidy, 2.5L boxer four cylinder
Dang, I was hoping to see a DFV under the hood of a Subaru!

Patagonian, you have my 2 favorite cars - the turbo Legacy GT "sleeper" and the MCS (though I prefer the hardtop with the sunroof). Your GT isn't as much of a sleeper though with those STI wheels sitting in the weeds like that... but it does look bad-a.... compliments to you!

I have the "S" side grills on my MC because I like them better than the black ones. I estimate they give me an extra 5 hp, max.

thanks! funny thing is.....to non-Subaru people, they see anything amiss (besides the Brembo's). They think it's just a wagon. Even to the STi guys, it's meh. Oh well.

the guy that bought that motor has an '02 RS and the STi drivetrain is getting swapped in there. The STi gets the Cossie motor, an '06 DCCD tranny with PPG straight cut gears, APS FMIC and turbo. It's going to be a monster.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing when a silver subaru pulled up next to me at the drag strip. I missed the FMIC, but it was there, the hood was swapped, it was NOT an STI hood at all, but I cleary could make out the STI markings in the rear as he pulled away from me. I came up to him afterwards and looked at his car, and I'm like "Dude you totally had me, I thought your car was a base impreza." He's like "That's the point" and laughed.
