I almost crashed today seeing ANOTHER fake MINI on the backroads of central Jersey. It was a bright colored car of some Japanese heritage with very pronouced white stripes on bonnet and boot.
Why do people do this when they can just have a MINI for not much more???
he just loves his car like all of us do; do u own a counterfeit viper ?
Actually, to the best of my knowledge, the first time double stripes were placed on a car was in 1959 when John Cooper did so on his F1 cars. He later did the same for his Minis. The stripes on his cars were the non-parallel design; slightly widening backwards. In the mid-60s, Shelby placed parallel stripes on his cars. I do not know when Dodge started putting stripes on their cars, but it was likely much later. So, Cooper cars (F1 or Mini) were indeed the first to have double bonnet stripes!
i am not trying to be a viper; i am trying to be a checkmate cos i have the checkmate stripes on my non checkmate edition copper s; i will be HURT if someone commented that i drive a counterfeit viper and post pix of the car on the net IF i have viper stripes on my copper S; all i want to do is to dress up my car; i love my car like all of u do and i am sure the owner of the Sentra love his car to spent on it; i am also sure he will be happier if he can drive or afford ( no offence ) a MINI ; so do count ourselves lucky when we have a MINI instead of MAKING FUN of others who dont;
