MINI Credit Card?

Reading Motorfile someone mentioned something about a new Visa MINI credit card then showed a MINI2 thread... http://www.mini2.com/forum/finance-i...-motorers.html

Are these for real? If so what are the rewards and how do you get one?

We got a flyer in our bill for Angel this month.

On the front it has a USA Flag Roof, British Flag Roof, Checkered Flag Roof then says "Show your colors. Be the first to get the new custumizable MINI platinum Visa Card. COMING THIS SUMMER"

Then a Visa card that says MYMINI in the upper left corner and a MINI logo in the right. A picture of a CR/W cooper with white bonnet strips on the front

Back of the flyer says " Your car. Your card"

Legal disclamer says "the customizable MINI cards is basxed on a patent pending process" 2006 BMW Finacial services NA, LLC dba MINI Financial Services. The MINI wordmark and logo are registered trademarks of BMW AG. MINI credit cards are issued by BMW Bank of North America, a wholly owned subsidiary of BMW Financial Services NA, LLC

*would of been easier to scan it at work tomorrow*

For me, it all boils down to interest rate (although I pay off every month), annual fees, and other bottom line financial decisions.

If my credit card had the best deal for me and had a HUMMER on it, I'd pick it over one with a MINI on it. . . . If the MINI one is the best card of the thousands of cards out there, then I am all over it!

Are they offering rebates (i.e certain percentage back)? My wife and I have a GM card (don't laugh, or point, or call names) that has about $3000. We will probably never use them since she is already talking about "her MINI" while I don't even have mine yet.

A credit card make sense in a way. Everyone else is doing it, so why shouldn't MINI. I imagine their are going to be some sort of incentives associated with it too, like swag discounts or something.

On another note, I got something in the mail the other day about MINI Insurance which is just a branded insurance through some other provider. It offered some stuff like road side assistance through AAA as long as you had their insurance, not just through the waranty period of the car.
