I just heard that the San Antonio MINI dealer is opening tomorrow! Boy is that good news for all of central and south Texas! With 2 dealers in the DFW area and 1 in Houston, we really needed something closer! Now we have it. I have only visited the Dallas dealer twice to look at what MINIs they had on the lot. I can't wait to be able to visit the San Antonio dealer and see the MINIs in person and see the colors in person.

 

Woo-hoo!!! About dang time, too! Finally, a round trip for service will "only" be 3 hours, instead of the 7 to Dallas.

(Now all that needs to happen is for BMW of Austin to get a MINI dealership, then the trip would be 10 minutes

 

I totally agree! I called John Roberts and told them that if the John Roberts in Dallas can be a MINI dealer then the John Roberts in Austin should be too! But the nice man I talked to said the picking is slim for being a MINI dealer and the chances of John Roberts getting two of them is slim! Drat!

 

Well, crud. Know of any good twisties for the trip to/from SA?

As an aside, I've seen 6 or so MINIs now (I'm generally NW, 360/Mopac/Parmer area), so we HAVE to get a group together. I've been on super fun drives with the local S2000 group, and will NEED to drive some twisties when my MCS comes in.
