Koni FSD shocks and F1 GS-D3 tires - what a difference!

I put some Koni FSD shocks in my MCS AND swapped my runflats for Goodyear F1 GS-D3 tires (in 215/45-17... kept the S-lites though) -- what a difference!!!!

Way more precise steering, no tramlining, softer ride, better handling and cornering, no more fear of potholes & bumps in the road -- this is how all Minis should be!! It's really made my Mini more fun to drive. I *highly* recommend both to everyone!

Those are great tires, however is that size correct? For the width, shouldn't you have selected a lower profile to keep the tire diameter corect? I noticed that Goodyear does not make that tire in the correct 205/45/17.

Yeah, the choice was between 215/40-17 and 215/45... There seem to be a fair number of people that have each. Went for 45 for a softer ride... seems to be ok, no rubbing or anything. My speedometer now seems to be a hair less accurate than before, as compared to the speed from my GPS (was previously overstating speed by 2 km/h, now it seems to be 2.5-3km/h off)

have the same combo and agreed, it makes the car. no issues with multiple sets of tires in that size, plus it's the stock size on our Subaru Legacy, so double bonus.
