Crazy Alpine Mini Cooper

You guys that have been around a while have probably already discussed this but I only came across this tonight. Alpine's custom 2004 MCS

I forgot about that....how long ago did they actually make that car? Seems like before 2004...but I guess that would be impossible!

Yes I work with alpine at shows with this car and that is there old car. Prob an 02 or 03. Its really basterdized. I cry when I see this poor mini. But its kinda cool in a way. But still stupid. There new car is just as crazy.

omg i saw that one on one of the Alpine "brouchers"...and i thought it was all photoshoped...it looked as if it were...THAT IS CRAZY!

In one of the links in my original post it goes through about 100 shots of the construction. Really demolished that poor mini but interesting to see how they did it.

I also thought it was much older than 04, guess the days are going buy too fast for me though. I like the concept of sitting in the center of the vehicle, not b/c of ALPINEs need for optimal hearing, but for max visiblity and feeling of the balance of the car. I saw this MINI in an episode of Rides on TLC where the showed a BMW build and then brought this out to show off some past work. Its amazing how much cash the corporations put into these cars.
