thanks for all the comments on the pics.

the comments about "ew, a focus" could've been done without, but eh... some people just don't know any better.

i'm a european car lover at heart. owned an '87 VW Jetta as my first car. loved the hell out of it, hated all domestic cars... until i bought my focus. granted, my next car will be euro again, but i'm very VERY pleased with my focus. it's a great car. and is an EXCELLENT handling car (even better now that i've had a little fun tweaking the suspension. :smile

in any case, sorry, had to stick up for my car a little bit. for those with doubts, i'll take you for a ride.

Looks like it was a perfect day for a drive. Nice pics! I really like the ones where your cars are floating on the water, ok I'm weird...I'm pretending they are swimming. Nice reflections!
And, I think the focus looks nice.

The Tek is in the shop. The tent wouldn't deploy so I had to send it in for service.

Doug, I recommend this one. It is so small (the size of a credit card and almost as slim too) takes very nice quality pics.

Comparing anyone's beloved auto to the Aztek is kind of like saying that you had a REALLY good time with their mother last night.

koolmini: being a GM fan, i can understand where your lack of knowledge would come from, hence the Ford bashing.

don't get me wrong, i'm neither a ford lover or a gm lover. i'm a "nice car" lover. but if you had to categorize me, i'm a european car fan. the focus was designed and first brought out by Ford of Europe, and it did remarkably over there in sales that they decided to bring it to the states, where it won award after award after award!

as for the performance of the car, and how it ranks up there against others in it's class,.... all you have to do is go out and pick up any reputable magazine and you will see that the focus leads in most competitions.

i'm not picking fights here, as it's not worth my time. but i will stand up for ignorant remarks like the ones some of you are typing.

now... on with your regularly scheduled program.

I'm right there with you about the Focus scironzts. It is a great handling car, even more so once lowered and stiffened. The engine isn't the smoothest, neither is the MINI's though. No one can beat BMW or Honda for buttery smoothness and technology. I loved our ZX3 and we were considering the SVT 5 door until the MCS came along.

Anyway...yesterday we parked in the middle of nowhere and when we came back there was a brand spankin' new red Aztek parked right next to us. I had to do a walk around and make sure none of the ugly rubbed off on the MINI!

Those of you with sensitive constitutions may want to turn away now...

Odd, the JD Power IQS for 2002 noted that the T-Bird was one of the few first year cars to make the top ten list. Maybe they should have QC'd the MINI
