Has anyone heard what's going on with the Texas dealerships? Someone at one of the potential dealerships said there was litigation going on? :evil:

 

I had heard on an other list that BMW had not bought a licence to sell MINI in Texas and were going through the buracratic process of getting that licence. Bmw lawyers dropped the ball I guess. Just hearsay though. Might not be 100% accurate.

 

I too have heard that litigation has something to do with it. What I heard was that one Texas BMW dealer who was not chosen to carry the Mini thought that he/she should have been selected and has either filed a lawsuit or threatened to file a suit against BMW. So BMW decided to stay out of Texas entirely until the matter is decided. However, even though I heard this from a credible source, this too could be hearsay.
