a multitude of low mileage resales

I'm not sure what to think. On the one hand demand for minis and esp. S's is supposed to be quite high. On the other hand, when I look through autotrader.com I see a bunch of MCs and S's for resale and alot of them are very low mileage. It makes me wonder. Are these people having bad experiences with their new minis? Do they think they have made a mistake for some reason? Maybe lots of models have such after market activity and I just never bothered to look.

Any ideas about this?

A number of things could contribute to this. Here are a few possibilities:

    I'm sure there are other reasons, but these are a few. The MINI is definitely a niche car. I love it, but it is a very special car and will not fit everyone.

    I'd say for the same reason I moved up the wait list so rapidly. Poor economy in the US of A.
