R50/53 Any adjustments on the HK amplifier?

Has anyone found any adjustments on the HK amp in the boot? If so, how do I get to them as I tried feebly this AM to get it out to see for myself.

I believe there is a way to adjust the gain, but I heard it doesnt make much difference as it leads to distortion.
