Hmm... Interesting thought. I wonder if vertical would make the car look skinnier and taller though?

>>I think I see what you mean. I guess I was looking at the small Blue picture and liking the overall affect. Try focusing on the MINI emblem on the small blue picture while taking in the affect of the whole grill area - I like the affect it gives.

It does sort of have more of a classic mini grill shape, but you almost have to let your eyes un-focus to see it... I'll give them an A for effort, it really is one of the better design ideas for an aftermarket kit i've seen for a MINI, but i'm pretty partial to the factory look anyhoo..

I spoke to AC Shitzer this morning and they are sending me some details regarding the kit and bhp up grade. I will post details as and when. I estimate it to be expensive.
Fulllupo, I am a jack of all trades. My specialty is laying around scratching my self. I am very good at that. Computers and anything involving thinking too much is my achilles heel, hense the sh** picture posting.

Yes! You got what I was trying to say - un-focus a bit. I think we're seeing things similarly.

That's just stupid looking. Too chunky. Too..well TOO! Just overdone in general. Somebody should have put down the crack pipe while it was still "neato" and not "whoa dude, uhmm....".

I tend to have an opinion, then hear someone else's and step into their perspective and start to re-think my own. I usually have to go through a bunch of different perspectives before I determine my final opinion. So, sometimes I'm envious of decisive people. I am decisive - but it takes me time. Once I have firmly decided on something, I'm a tough nut to change....

Gabe - I'm with you. I too, like the old style canvas top. It reminds me of an option you could get on the MGB-GT.

That looks like the same ones fitted to old Minis too - Webasco(?) I think ... they had a very well engineered kit that actually was quite weather-tight ...

I like the ragtop also...after having four convertibles over the last twenty years I would wonder how soon they start leaking!

I also dig the side stripe as opposed to the bonnet stripes!

if you already ordered the aero kit, why wouldn't you know what to do?

the acs kit will surely be more than you paid!

Call me crazy, but I have yet to see any body modifications that would make me want to change my stock "S", as of yet. I'm sure somebody will offer some nice mods, but unlike the "retro-futuristic" New Beetle, the new Mini is just too good to mess with...as is the Audi TT. There's just not a lot to be done.

I was hoping for a lot more from AC, since they do some really nice mods for the beemers. Better luck next time Schnitzer and you can keep your high prices.

Best,

J.

I dropped by the CEC Wheels place that's pictured above (the one pictures might actually be another branch)

I was looking through the windows, they were still closed, but couldn't see the MINI, dunno if it was even there.

Although, they did have some insanely beautiful M3 and Porsches, and a variety of Benzs
