R50/53 MCS runs rings around Macho Man
MCS runs rings around Macho Man
Background:
My boss is really cool. We've had several discussions about the fact that some people just aren't car people and that they are usually the ones who think the MINI is just a "chick car". My boss doesn't think this way; he gets it. He's also a big outdoorsman and drives a Chevy Tahoe. He actually drives it off-road for hunting and working on his property.
Story:
Last night he and I worked late. As I walked to my car, I realized I had left something in the office. So, I parked the MINI right in front and dashed back in. On my way out I ran into him as he was leaving. He'd seen the MINI and decided it would be funny to put a post-it note on the windshield identifying it as a "chick car".
Since I caught him in the act, I decided to have a little fun with him. Just before he could get into his Tahoe, I drove briskly up to his truck and made several quick laps around it with him still standing by the driver's door. I then sprinted toward the exit, feeling very amused with myself and the little pun I'd just acted out.
I didn't even get out of the business park before he called to laugh about it and tell me: "OK, OK... I get it. Your chick car can run rings around my Tahoe! I get it!". Ah... the joys of owning a fun car.

Good story.
Good thing you didn't him or the Tahoe over!
My boss is actually envious of the MINI
, and he has a stable of cars including a 911 Turbo, Audi A8, Bentley Flying Spur, etc.
He is a little too big (tall and round) to fit. He bought one of the first Carerra GTs in the US, but didn't take delivery unless they were ready to cut it apart so he could fit.
