whew! we did our first autocross this weekend north of seattle in the "slush series" (rain and cold) and it was really, really fun!!!

i don't know how many other from the list autocross (we saw a couple other mini people there) but if you haven't it is the best. the mini is VERY suited to going on a tight track with lots of corners, probably more so than regular track events. so if you have the itch to race, this is safe and fun way to do it.

i got the mini in a couple of slight four wheels drifts (with DSC off) but even sliding the car felt like it had lots of control. also, good to find out where the limits of the car are on wet surfaces so in the case of any emergencies you know what to expect.

to the people who have questions about CVT handling. it did VERY well in the sport mode so i could focus on my driving and not shifting.

there are autocross clubs all over the world so if you want to find out what your mini can do -- i highly recommend it. men and women are all welcome, me and my girlfriend both had a great time.

Curt & Jaime,
Congratulations! You are MOTORING !!! I am attending an autocross this weekend for the first time in ages - all because of the MINI. I am still in the "break in" period so I am not competing but looking forward to it in the near future.
Show those other cars the quick way around the track - Go MINI !!!
Best Regards,
Ron

On Mar. 15, my husband and I are going to WDCR Novice School here in MD. We'll be in my MCS. Our teacher will be Brian Garfield, an auto-xer who's been kicking butt in his MINI here in the East. I can't wait!!!!
