this car was made for mod's!
if people want to turn there mini's into something else, go for it!
i'm not really keen on these lights, but i'm not gonna submit a photo
of someone's mini with these to http://www.ricecop.com
"rice" seems to be a touchy subject!

Wow that's a slap in the face of Frank Stephenson and his two years of design work - in a word, no.
I agree with the general negative view. The Mini was successful because it had some retro elements while being a modern interpretation on the classic mini. These lights violate that interpretation (no linkage to the old mini) and so I don't like them.
>>Why is everything "rice" if it's aftermarket??

You are right, and I too am guilty of the "rice" statement in other posts but regret being negative about customizing. After all, MINI even says "Let's mess with perfection. Let's Daniel Boon-flag it. Let's flame paint it. Let's detail it. Let's whale tail it. Let's fuzzy dice it. Let's trick it out....."

I'm all for it. MightyMiniz, please pm me what your thinking to get a set produced.
The turnsignal in the original concept is redundant. It was only put there to balance out the aesthetic of the lights. I prefer the side by side look better than the stacked look IMO. I don't know if this is possible given the existing lense geometry. I wish there was a 3D file of the existing assembly so that it could be properly modeled for fit (instead of this pshop smoke and mirrors that I am guilty of) What is the diameter of the lenses required? What angle do they need to rest at?
a very p1ssed relative of BMW...

I think the actuality of producing these types of lights will be more expensive that it is intitially worth, maybe down the line I will, after I produce some carbon fiber housing replacements...
Until then... keep Pshopping!

Oh yeah...Carbon Fiber...Go Mighty, its your birthday. I can't wait to get my hands ona pair. Hope fully they will go well with that carbon fiber hood scoop if they ever market it.

I like that better. Losing all the chrome creates a very different look that is more of a consistant design stance to take. While not as true to the MINI heritage it gives the car a look that is less playful and more menacing.

original idea not bad, but i definitely like 6f7's revision much better although
i don't know if i'd spend my money on them. i like the mini's nostalgic representation of the classic mini, a main theme being the "bugeye" look, but like i said not bad tell a good price and show me quality and i would consider
