I have a few questionsif you don't mind:Did any airbags go off? What did DSC do or not do?
answer for him.
The airbag did NOT go off, he didnt have that much frontal impact, he slid into the tree from the side. He honestly doesn't remember what the DSC did or didnt do. He remembers getting loose then being under the tree, he doesn't even remember ducking.
Did the head curtain airbags deploy? Does your car have DSC? Would DSC have possibly helped steer you clear?
Look forward to your new Mini.
Yes I have DSC dont member if it did anything. No the bags did not deploy. I look forward to a new MINI too. Hope I get one soon. Depending on finances I may have to get a Cheap commuter car before a MINI though. But I will stay on NAM.
OMG, what a shocker. I'm thrilled that you are ok.
I love Bumble and am very upset to hear of his passing. I really wanted a LY MCS, but alas, it wasn't offered in '06. (My favorite cat of all time was also named Bumble, so your Bumble always made me smile)
Good luck finding the next MINI of your dreams and can't wait to see what you get.

Oh no.........gosh..I'm SO sorry about your precious MINI....but on the other hand, YOU are alive!! USAA will treat you right I'm sure - we have them and they've been just superb!!
I so glad that you are ok, but make sure you get a check up by the Doc. Every time i see a recked MINI it makes me cringe, good luck with your new MINI when you get him/her......
My condolences on Bumble, but I am glad that you are ok. Bumble went out as any loved MINI would want to.. protecting their motoring pal. Hope everything goes well with the insurance (another satisfied USAA member here), and that you are happily motoring again soon.
Geez, how scary! Glad you could walk away from it - do go see a doctor though, something like that can have more effects then you know or feel at first. Take care.
Glad to hear you're doing OK ... but come-on, an accident? Looks to me like someone wanted a convertible REAL bad!
Cars are nice but it's the people in them that are special.
Take it easy for a few days. You might become aware of more aches and pains after the shock wears off.
