Made an appt. with local deal, Don Rosen of Bala Cynwd(30 miles one way)..looked at it..says have to bring it back again..says left front ABS sensor shows faults..as if I didn't know..'cause that's why I made the appt.. have to bring it back again when part(s) are in. My question was to them it is an intermediate problem..when in heavy rain the fault(s) go away..thus indicates a grnd fault problem or sensor is lose and gap distance is in error. Service rep. at Don Rosen says he's not knowledgable enough to anwer my question(s). The car was not in the service bay long enough to test the sensor componet..only the tested for code fault. Could have been a very simple fix. Why..because I'm familiar with BMW bikes with ABS brakes and their sensors..the gap is critical..other wise a fault will show or if a faulty grnd will also show a fault. Anyone else experiencing these service problems of lack of knowledge by the Mini Service manager at Don Rosen..I f anyone the Serice Manger should be able to answer these basic question(s) as to how or why a componet works or doesnt work...
