Help wanted with interior lighting
My daughter frequently rides in the rear seat of our MCC, but MINI convertibles have no interior rear lighting at all. When our roof is up, the combination of black roof and black interior can make it totally pitch black for rear passengers. I want to install lights into the rear side panels, and could use some suggestions for selecting which one. My plan is to use an automotive rear reading light from any manufacturer, to help give it a factory OEM look. The best light for me seems to be the type that might be mounted above the rear door of a 4-door car. My criteria are:

The problems I've run into in my search are that most vehicles have a light colored headliner and the lamp has matching color trim, or else reading lights are integrated in a central dome fixture.
So NAM members, have you owned or seen vehicles that have a suitable light for my purpose? The X5 might be a good choice, but I'm hoping for more of a selection.
- Integrated on-off switch
- The lamp has dark trim, or no trim at all (the lens extends to the edges).
- Prefer standard rather than LED bulbs, because I will wire it as both courtesy and reading light, and I like the fade-in effect.
