I have a 2006 Mini S convertible. Just purchased 3 months ago. Approx 2500 miles. Driving mixed city and highway, our mileage is about 21 mpg. Highway is about 28. Does this sound right? Will the mileage improve as we accumulate more miles?

 

I've got an 05 non S convertible, manual shift. I get 34 mpg. I commute 68 miles round trip daily, lots of freeway stop and go. On road trips with no traffic I get just a bit better.

 

That's in the ballpark. Yes, your fuel economy will probably get better as you put a few more miles and fully break in the engine. Mine did.
