I'm the only MINI where I work. Although, when there are events where I work (San Diego Convention Center), I occasionally see a few in the parking garage..

They might dent my door. I still park at the end of the last row in every parking lot.

Those are intense old ladies, denting doors and such!

at my company of 150 or so employees I'm the only MINI. I do know ever car in the lot and who it belongs to so I know who I parked next to should I find a ding or scratch... but I always park in an end spot so that cuts the chances of damage in half

As far as I know, I'm the only one in my company who owns one, at least in the West Michigan area. Another guy who works in my building is planning on buying an '06 in early spring, though.

There aren't a ton of MINIs in the area in general because we are a 3-hour drive from the nearest MINI dealer.

MIB is the only one...

MIB is the only MINI at the FedEx Indy hub. There used to be a BRG/W but he was a college kid driving mom/dad's car. It is rare that people last more than 6 months at a FedEx hub. Mostly only there to get extra money for Christmas, or College kids

There is a cr/b in my building, but he is not a car guy. I had to explain that he has the supercharged and I have the non-supercharged version, very disappointing. I normally try to park in the first spot so my car is next the the curb on the passenger side and a nice big gap to the closest car, or park next to my boss' Bentley I know he will be careful, or at least pay if he hurts Maximus. Down the street from me there is a rotation of Mini's at one office that I always wonder why they so often have one in the lot, but always a different color?

That got me thinking - how many people do you work with have MINI's? How often do you see them in the parking lots at work?
Me and The MINI are the one and only's at a work of about 50 people. But like the royalwe I know all the cars and them that own them. And they know me. I'm the guy that drove the Classic Cooper S, the '51 Chevy, the '40 Merc Club Coupe, the '70 Camaro, the '68 TR6, the '69 Rebel SST, the '66 Chevelle, the blown 455 '70 Cutlass and now the '02 MCS. And not a single door ding in over 30 years at the same place!

Gotta Love It!

I'm the only Mini where i work. There's some dude who thinks it's cool to park his new convertible Pontiac Solstice next to my Mini. In my entire life I have never seen a more ill fitting soft top than is on that Pontiac!

Mine is the only MINI in my unit. There are a few on base, I'd say about 10 probably, but I don't think any of them have every waved/flashed back at my MINI. It makes my MINI sad . Sometimes when I make left turns, if I see a MINI coming, I even wait (providing I'm not holding anyone else up) so I can wave and they never wave back!

No one here but me has discovered MINI yet, but I do "promotional" work to hopefully get cash for a referral . I can't help but remember a comment I heard from a co-worker when I told her I was looking at MINIs: "why don't you look at a nice CIVIC or something?"

'Round here, you'd expect that though. We were doing well when a Dodge Magnum showed up, and some nice AUDI wagons, and now there's a new Mustang (one of my failed attempts at finding another MINI customer - should have known better - though, when I'm behind him just up the street, for some reason my tires just go "Squeeeak!" for a few gears).

The new Mustang in the metallic blue (when it's shiny and new at least) looks doggone sweet.

I have seen 3 different MINIS at different times. There is a LY/Y MC that belongs to one of the VPs husband. He lets her drive it on occasion. I have also seen a PS/B MCS and a EB/W MCS a few times. I believe they belong to clients.

I work at a university. There are lots of MINIs here. Nobody I know personally tho. I am known (among other things) as the MINI guy in my building. I've seen a few CR, SGold, and IB MINIs. When I parked in the garage, instead of the lot, I used to see a nice IB Cooper with white bonnet stripes, driven by a real cutie!

That leads me to an observation: When females are driving MINIs, they seem to be extra good looking. Is it just the car?? Or just a Miami-area phenomenon?

I would concur the same for the Atlanta Metro area

I have the only Mini where I work.... lots of Kias and SUV junk so I'm kind of alone in the real appreciation of this car. There are 2 Universities where I live but that usually means an abundance of hashed together "Rice Racers". I have seen maybe 5 or 6 other Minis in this town and I have met DoubleNick and his CR/W MCS but don't know anyone else. It would be nice to get an informal club together since this seems like kind of an out of the way place for Minis.

I have the only one in the lot at our building. One of our interior designers wants one so I pump her nice pics via email that she can forward to her husband. He'll break eventually! I only drive 3 miles to work and pass the same three other MINIs from time to time. 2 smile and wave, the other pretends to be invisible. I still wave at him to see if it scares him.

I have no idea how many people work in my 14-story building, most of those stories being occupied by hoighty-toighty attorneys and such...but I do see a PS/B MCS and a CR/Union Jack MCS around. I park next to them when there is room, and yes, people have commented on it when I do. It's ridiculously silly, but I love it.

And you can trust them not to ding your doors, bcause they love their MINIs as much as you

Only 2

I was the first MINI in my parking lot back in April '04, but in June of '05 a guy in our IT department came up to me and started with all sorts of questions about my MINI. He then told me he was picking his up the next day. So then there were 2. His is a Liquid Yellow/Black top MC with black stripes up the hood. His wheel are the 15in "holeys" which is the only 15in wheel I like. We try to park next to each other, but being in the aviation biz, I'm currently working 3rd shift, so are Coopers really never get a chance to say "Hi" anymore. My Cooper gets to enjoy a basically empty parking lot, so my doors are safe even though I STILL park far away. I know, neurotic, but I will just die if I ever receive a door dent. Cheers to all.

I will occasionally see an EB/W MCS and a CR/W MC in the parking lot that I use. I also park out in the far extremes to avoid the door dings, so I get to take a nice survey of the lot as I walk in every day. This is just one lot at a place where many thousands work, so I cannot possibly comment on total MINI ownership here, but I don't see very many of them (but there are tons of Bimmers, Lexi, and SUV). The shocker yesterday was seeing a CR/W MCS-JCW driving past the security gate. At the company fitness center, there is sometimes a different CR/W MC, but the lady who drives it isn't very friendly (never waves or anything).

What I have noticed though is a recent spike in MINIs in the town I live in. For awhile, I had one of the few, and the only HB/B. About 2 months after I got mine, two more HB/B (one MC, one MCS) show up. But I've not seen them at any of the MINICCI gatherings...
