I think I've read of some of you out there, who were schedualled for production when you realized there was a new option you wanted to wait for, so you had your dealer switch you to a lower place on the list? I'm a correct about this at all? How did you guys go about doing this? How far into the production process were you when you decided to switch?
I just currently read about some new options that are supposed to start with march builds. I was supposed to be a march build but as of 10 minutes ago when I called askmini, I'm at status 150, with production estimated to be complete by the 22! I suppose I should immediately call my dealer, but I have to admit I'm a bit of a wuss and incredibly indecisive, so I'm a little scared to make the call. I don't know what to do?!

 

What options would those be?

Have you spoken to your dealer? Maybe they'll take the one you spec'd to sell of the lot and replace your order. I don't know if they'll do this or not, but it can't hurt to ask.

 

the main option I'm concerned about is the wood dash,which I've been preying would come out before my build. Then what directly effects that, is that I am signed up for the sport package, but if I could get the wood interior, I would also want cardobe beige interior. Lastly, either way, I'm starting to think I really want the 15 inch 8 spoke wheels. I know the dealer does wheels as an accessory, anyone know if they'd object to putting 15inch non-runflats on a car that already has the sport pack?

 

My dealer offered me the choice of slipping one month to get an options that I wanted that was missed by me and the MA. I elected to stay where I was, if I had lnpwn that I was going to sit on the dock for a month I would taken the slip to get the option.

 

i changed options after i got schedualled for production and i didn't get moved lower on the list.......but do it right away

Well, I just called t e dealer, and it turns out that my advisor is not in today. I talked to someone else anyway(and I might mention that this was the first person I've talked to there who was kind of a **** to me), he denied the induction of the wood interior, as did the lady at askmini. The guy I talked to did say though that he didn't think it was too late to change my sport package details. So anyway, that sounds hopeful.

Man I can't believe how freaked out I just got over this whole thing! I mean, it's just a car right? I keep telling myself that but then I think, no it's not just a car, it's MY MINI! And I just want it to be perfect, you know? I'm so weird!

Look at this way, you could of had your first one sink on you, but be patient, and think it through, with my second order I was able to get some upgrades that were not offered. But I must say, that I miss motoring with a MINI during SOCAL MINI outtings, But I bring my Acura, it can still handle the corner very well,
