AskMini says that my vehicle completion date is January 18th. Does that make it week 1 or week 2? How long does it take to build a Mini?

Anyone?

 

The 18th appears to be in the 3rd week of January. I thought at one time I read build takes about 3 weeks. Don't quote me, my memory isn't too good.

 

From my experience build takes 1 week......

I was told completion date would be 12/12, start date was 12/5 or 12/6.....word today is my MC is built.....1 week as promised

 

Generally the actual building time is 5 - 7 days. Mine was 6 days. I'm just not sure when they conside the build date. When it begins,or when it rolls off the line. But, I think it is when they start pulling parts and issue a Vin#

That would make yours a week 2 car.

 

I read somewhere here, can't remember where, that the ACTUAL build time is less than 24 hours. OL said we were in the body shop for a couple of days I think, but then when it went to paint and finish it was VERY fast so the 24 hours makes sense. With modern manufacturing, I can't imagine it taking more than a day. Have you seen the video on the MINIUSA site? Seems to move right along in that.
