Hi to all you Mini enthusiasts! Both colors are good looking. We have a Space Blue and Silver S "on the boat" that we are eagerly awaiting.
This is our first Mini although we have thought about buying one several times. Bye for now ...

Hyper Blue is the most awesome color ever. That's a fact.
It is certainly a happy blue, and the term "Hyper" describes it very well. I think there is a thread on NAM extolling it's virtues...
I take it you can't make it to a dealership to see the HB vs SB?

Colors are personal..as you see i never said i didn't like hyper blue.

I had the opportunity to see space/silver in the showroom as I was ordering my car and thought it looked great. It almost convinced me, but in the end I wanted the more evil (can any MINI even begin to look evil 
) look as opposed to the 'this is a sophisticated car' look which Space/silver with the bonnet stripe has, so I went HB/B. But if I wanted a silver roof, I'd definately go with the space over the hyper. It is very dressy and looks great

Well, everyone's opinions and input aside, I've ordered my 2006 MCS HB/S with the Silver Bonnet Stripes. Thought about it and slept on it and have no second thoughts. Looking forward to February when I can pick it up and drive it home.

Space Blue vs Hyper Blue - Easy Solution
The easy solution is to get BOTH colors!

I love the Space Blue and silver if you want a silver roof. However that is the combo I bought so I am definately biased... in fact now that I have it I find that I like the Hyper Blue, the black, the white with the black top, silver with black... I feel like i need at least 5 more minis to get everything I want 
! I just keep finding combos I like, but the Space Blue and silver with the silver wheels just looks VERY nice IMO.
