Probably you have seen the "R53" letters on the back of Luis Sanchez' 2005 CR/CR MINI. I believe Luis designed the letters himself and had someone create the cast prototypes. You may wanna talk to him.

It probably has something to do with this:

It boggles my mind that this is popular....! One of our V8 'supercar' drivers has moved to the US to race in Nascar next year.....$$$ was a big factor...

I know you guys get our V8 'supercar' racing on speed channel - that's way better if you want to see people racing around in big family cars...

I LOVE V8 Supercars!!!!!

I have a thing for Aussie cars too, tho, so that may be part of it.

Its probably one of the only motorsports ive seen where cars flip so much under normal racing circumstances!

That could be too. The michigan thing is because michigan has whats known as a michigan left. You have to make a right turn then take a turn around to go left. That was my first thought, but iono.

As far as racing goes.... Wouldn't pro rally feature the most dramatic flips and crashes? Gah actually I think that is what tit was going for... I am slow today.

New Jersey's got them too, they call them jughandles. I learned to drive in New Jersey and when I moved out of the state it took me a few weeks to break my self of having to head to the right in order to make that left turn!

So I guess two wrongs don't make it right ... but two rights do make a left?

Actually THREE rights make a left. Two rights only make a reversal. (Kinda like "Let's make a 360 and get out of here!")

We have them in Melbourne because of the tram lines in town - they are known here as 'hook turns'...

Risu....I wasn't specifically referring to Rally...but while we're at it:
