Wow - you know it's cold when it gets like that INSIDE the garage!

I missed my chance to take a pic of the first snow covered MINI of the year at my house...maybe I'll get another chance?

I am very happy with the Conti snow tires, DSC and ABS. All tested to perfection in the nearby vacant parking lot last Friday...as much as I hate to say it...bring on the white stuff!

Does your MINI have the heated windshield? If so, does it work well?

To be honest with you I don't really know, I know the mirrors are heated though.

did you raise your car up for that 60 mile trek?

Mine sits just like yours (in your sig.) on m7 springs and I dread the thought of subjecting it to snow at ANY depth, I mainly fear damage from to much snow packing hear and there and scraping the underside of the car.
thanks for posting the pic. good luck this winter.

The picture in my signature is how it hopefully will look after the winter, springs are coming when winter is over, I'm riding on stock suspension and x-lites.

Probably going for kW springs.

right on man, I thought you had the biggest nuts there for a minute.

Coming home thru Tahoe yesterday caused me to scrape with just a inch of snow covering the road, luckily there was not much more.

eeek.

Good luck with that, I've thought about what will happen next winter, I'll probably still have the mini and it will be lowered, I'm afraid its not drivable at all, I guess you'll have to switch springs every winter/summer.

We'll just have to equip the wife's MINI for snow is all.

How about mounting a skid plate under it? Was thinking about that for mine, just to keep the big chunks from doing any damage.

Mine from last year, when I couldn't make it up the mountain and had to leave it at the base. As you can tell we get more ice then snow

Thinking about picking up one of the extended skid plates, or just making my own to help protect the PS fan (mine's an 02)

we had our first snow here as well. It gets scary driving in the snow. Especially when im driving on my nearly worn Pirelli Euphori@ runflats. Summer tires suck in the winter. But i made it home in one piece, whats funny, well not funny more ironic but i tease him anyway, is that my friend is on all seasons and he had a run-in with a curb in my neighborhood. Snow is a PITA to drive on, but its fun to ski on.

What if the skid plate all the sudden turns your MINI into a Sled that won't turn! That would be scary.

You should see what I drove through up here tonight! Pirelli snowcontrols rock.

Michigan is starting to get some accumulation so I know how you feel. Still haven't decided on winter tires yet, but my runflat all-seasons seem to be doing a surprisingly good job.

I got home before the snow fell and drove the wife's Element instead since she was out of town for the holiday. I'm sure I'll get a chance this week to tackle some white stuff I've read how well the MINI handles in the snow so I'm looking forward to it. I'm just glad I have the heated seats
