Sorry but you are wrong. Connecticut requires a front plate and the fine is $78.00. I do not have one on my Cooper 'S'. I never had one on my Cobra and was never bothered in ten years on the road.

KY is only on the back bumper. So, not us. Anyway, the laser guns using the license plate as a reflector is true. You can also buy a lens that goes over the plate that diffuses the laser and disallows reflection. Illegal too probably.

This is just illegal. Hey, break at least one law that has a minimal fine. Seems this law is not so strict (unless you are jsun - geeez).

I don't have a front plate. So far the only problem I have had was at a parking meter. The meter still had time on it, but I was ticketed for "no visible/attached front license plate." In the city of Denver, that's a $35 fine with no requirement to fix the plate. In the future, I'll just avoid parking at public meters as they can't fine you for this offense in a private parking structure.

You can get that aero kit plate frame on a non-aero kitted car? And it doesn't require drilling holes? Tell me more, this is too good to be true!

Well, not entirely wrong. PA definitely does not require front plates. Although they did at one time many, many years ago (some time in the first half of the 1900's - but not exactly sure.).

Also, there is discussion of re-instating this law so that front plates will again be required in PA - nothing definite, just discussion.

I remember when we only needed the rear plate here in CT, I don't have a front plate on and I'm looking for the perfect plug for the holes the dealer in NY drilled to mount the bracket, if I get stopped for it, I'm using the stolen plate story.

X2

I have had a euro plate on my MINI since last September and haven't (*knocking on wood*) been fined yet. It looks so much better though, that it's a risk I am willing to take....

Ok so I wasn't completely wrong, just out of date...

My plan is to either place it on the dashboard, or attach it to the passenger side visor. I want a Euro plate on the front of my car.
