R50/53 Milestone for me.... fixed my first dent in a MINI.
Milestone for me.... fixed my first dent in a MINI.
I was cruising down some wooded roads at about 40mph relaxing and
enjoying the scenery when all of a sudden BOOOM!!! a large
apple (?) or some berry fell on my bonnet just behind the intercooler
opening making a large dent.
Fortunately for me, ive been training to be A PDR tech so was able
to remove the dent out completely.
I had to remove the
inside intercooler duct, use a bonnet prop (actually my door jammer),
placed a hard rubber mat wrapped in a soft towel on the intercooler
opening trim and used that as my leverage point for my PDR tool to
gently push out the dent. Took me maybe 15min.
My personal milestone...fixed my first MINI!!! (literally)
i was just excited and wanted to share...

Glad to hear you had success with it.
I just got mine out of the body shop because it had 3 small dings in the roof and one in the right rear quarter panel that the PDR guy couldn't get in to.
I can testify first hand that our MINI's are put together VERY solidly!

My MCS is under the knife at the dealer's at the moment, for the 1st "oil service". I miss it baaad. The CVT loaner was fun though, for a short while,
