I'm assuming they are but we all know what happens when you assume.

The OEM stripes are normally vinyl and applied at the dealership...painted stripes would be aftermarket. :smile:

$100 for vinyl stripes...is it worth it? I like the look but I've had no experience with vinyl applications.

I liked my black ones when they were new. But now that I have 35k on my MINI they've started to get marked up and have some white spots in them. Plus they're a PITA to keep clean.

Very easy to apply and $40 or less for aftermarket ones. The aftermarket ones IMO actually look better because they "wrap under" at the top and bottom instead of leaving an inch or so of exposed paint.

Try www.mightystripes.com or www.cooperflags.com

They are probably available for even less from other sources.
