Oh boy. Maybe I'm gettin one soon.

My trusty saturn has sprung a coolant leak. Right under the water pump. If I only replace the pump, I'm likely to need to do the thermostat soon, so I might as well do that. ...and then I've got these pulley bearings making all kinds of noise. ....So, even if I can manage to do the labor myself...that's a big IF... I'm looking at having to spend 100-150 bucks on this 12 year old car again. It's still a really cheap car to keep up. It just seems like every year more stuff breaks.

It'll be tough to fit a car payment back into the budget again, but a new car warranty and three years service might offset that. I'm thinking that costco financing might do the trick. Wish me luck, guys.

Good luck. I know what you mean about older vehicles and repairs. Mine were all over 18 years before I bought the MINI and I was spending a lot of time maintaining them. Now that I have the MINI, I just spend a lot of time washing and modding.
